2019 Annual Meeting

Our 2019 annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, and Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 1400 Sixteenth Street NW, Washington, DC. The theme of this year’s meeting is healthcare regulation and credentialing in an anti-regulatory environment.

·         Keynote speakers each day will share their views on the impact of anti-regulatory pressures on licensing and voluntary credentialing,  

·         Speakers from a variety of Washington DC based think tanks of various political persuasions will present their case for regulatory change. 

·         A representative of the Federal Trade Commission will deliver an update on the ongoing work of the FTC’s Economic Liberty Task Force.

·         Leaders of various professional licensing board umbrella organizations and representatives from voluntary credential bodies will describe how the anti-regulatory atmosphere is affecting their work.

·         Regulators will present a case study around connecting the oversight of facilities with the oversight of healthcare professionals.

·         Consumer advocates will share their perceptions of potential unintended consequences resulting from regulatory change.
