Both licensing boards and voluntary certification bodies are moving beyond mandatory continuing education and looking at requiring actual demonstrations of current competence as a condition of re-licensure or re-certification. We know how to measure whether an individual knows the necessary material, but we are less certain about how to measure performance – to assess whether practitioners put their knowledge to use in everyday practice. A national testing company has developed a program designed to measure practitioner performance. That program will be described in detail during this webinar.
